Jennard Cahatol | Senior Pastor
Pastor Jennard serves as the Senior Pastor at Haven Christian Community Church, with a passion for preaching the Good News, teaching discipleship in small groups, and serving in compassion ministries. He graduated from Gateway Seminary and has been in ministry for almost a decade, with experience leading in many different ways, such as homeless ministry, college ministry, counseling ministry, adult Bible study classes, global missionary work, and local outreach.
He is married to Janny, who exemplifies and teaches him the Gospel and the love of Christ every day, and they have two sons, Samuel and Stephen. He grew up in the Bay Area and has lived in San Jose for over two decades, so he has a big heart for the diverse group of people in our area to know Jesus Christ. He is also a big fan of the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco 49ers, and Japanese curry.
Jordan Yamamoto | Next Gen Ministry Director
Jordan serves as the Next Generation Ministry Director. He has a passion for sharing the Gospel with students. He graduated from Talbot School of Theology with a Masters in Theology. Over the years he has served in youth, college, and special needs ministries. He also works in special education for a school district in the East Bay.
Jordan grew up in the East Bay. His passion for the Bay Area teams never wavered while living in Southern California during seminary. He often sat a couple rows behind the pastor at church so he could see him repping his San Francisco Giants hat. His hobbies these days are golf as his body has decided to not like playing other sports such as basketball or anything that requires running. Go Niners.
Rev. Joseph Roberts | Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Joe is the Pastor Emeritus of Haven Christian Community Church, a vibrant and family-oriented church in the Fremont, Union City, and Newark areas. He was part of the founding team of Haven Christian Community Church in 1993 and served faithfully for 22 years as the senior pastor before his retirement in 2015.
Along with his wife, Cynthia, they continue to serve in the church teaching the Bible in small groups and occasionally on Sunday mornings. They relish their retirement with their two adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. Besides volunteering at Haven Christian Community Church, Pastor Joe continues to serve where he can in the OMS Holiness Churches of North America Conference.
